The perfect time for true worship: Easter.
This celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus has nothing to do with bunnies and eggs. This is the greatest victory won in he whole history of mankind. It was like a surprise boomerang to the devil who felt he had succeeded in terminating the life of the Son of God. Oh what a shocker it was for the devil!
How does worship come in?
When the disciples finally realized that their saviour was risen, do you realise how happy and afraid they must have been? The scripture tells us that Mary Magdalene rose up before dawn to see her Lord. She went early to see the body of the one who delivered her from 7 demons, probably to weep and cry; but alas she got a shocker- her saviour had been so glorified that she couldn't recognize him when He eventually risked appearing to her even before He ascended on to present Himself to the Father. Another account tells us that the women took spices an balms for His body - they worshipped Him even when it seem as though He was dead and not just so that they can bribe Him to give them what they want.
Also, the guards at the tomb could not withstand the light and glory of the angel that came to roll the stone such that they lay as dead men. More or less a form of involuntary worship- see the element of death in that scenario.
Easter is a time to celebrate the lamb who sits on the throne and lives and reigns forever. So ask yourself- is this really what I'm doing?
Moreover this Easter is an unsusal one in Christian history as we won't be permitted to congregate due to corona virus outbreak but that shouldn't be a barrier. Our worship should be timeless and spaceless, that is not bound to these things. Have a happy Easter celebration and I hope we bask in the delight of true worship.
