Hello, guys! How have you been? Happy new year!
The very first review I'll be making this year is for the last book I completed reading last year.
And... You guessed right; it's a Christmas novel.
Genre: Christian Christmas romance novel
Number of Chapters: 18 + bonus epilogue
Rating: A solid 5 star rating from me.
Title: Don't Stop Loving Me
I especially love how the obviously romantic title felt like a personal call to the reader. It makes one have curiosity, doesn't it?
Cover Design
It was this magnificent cover that drew me in, actually. I was so curious. And oh, that's the imagery of the main characters I was rooting for by the way, Joseph and Mary.
Big surprise, the author designed this cover herself. Isn't that amazing?
Blurb
Every December, Mary is reminded of the painful memories of her family's betrayal. But this year, she's determined to break free from her past and embrace her feelings for her long-time crush, Joseph. Yet, insecurity grips her—will her difficult story drive him away? Or is this the Christmas her love story begins?
Jumoke runs into notorious playboy and ex-boss, Dayo, and is shocked her long-ago feelings for him never truly fizzled out. Will she finally give him a chance at her heart when he promises to change for her?
For Ariel, life has been a series of mistakes ever since her brother's passing. Now, she's about to become a mother, but the father of her child wants nothing to do with her. Just when she's lost all hope, an unexpected prince charming enters her life this holiday season.
Will these three women have a chance at true love in the most romantic season of the year? Or will they give up on the men their hearts truly long for?
The setting was Nigeria and the time of the year was the Christmas season but that doesn't restrict your enjoyment of this book at anytime of the year in any part of the world (there is a glossary at the end for the colloquial terms used).
Another thing I loved was how this book was clean and pointed back to Jesus. God's kind of love is sacrificial and unconditional.
Characters
There were several main characters in this story, about five, if I am right. They were all very unique, well-rounded, flawed and so relatable.
Joseph and Mary were the main characters of this book (very obvious, right?). I absolutely loved how they evolved from being low-key enemies to high-key lovers.
Enjoy my quotes and notes while I read this book:

How I got my copy (and where to get yours)
I posted the book cover on my WhatsApp status on Christmas day with the caption as a prayer to God that I would love to get the book as a Christmas gift.
A kind friend of mine saw it and gave me the money to buy the book. I was overjoyed. That, my friends, is why Matthew 7:7 is so valid.
You can buy your copy as well for just ₦2000 on Selar.
